I too saw this at Costco and thought, "What a good price!" My son is obsessed with marble mazes. I thought it would be a good one for him. It took my husband 2 1/2 hours to assemble it. My kids enjoyed it for a few hours. One piece broke. If they touch any of the ramps like little kids do, then the ramps come off. I had to use the manual to figure out where some of the pieces go.

Once this maze is assembled it isn't meant to be reconfigured- not sure what's the supposed educational value other than interpreting the complicated directions. My kids still have fun with it but it's not allowing them to be creative builders (other than where the piece was missing they put a cup and said, "The marbles will fall off a cliff into this cup then our dumptruck will pick it up and deliver it back to the start.") Funny but not the Costco bargain I thought it was. The missing piece we just made our own using an index card and tape. I think that the kids learned more from that repair than anything else. My kids are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 and I know it's an 8+ toy so they play with it supervised.
